TravelCenters to offer military members free meals on July 4
Over 170 full-service restaurants within the TravelCenters of America LLC and Petro Stopping Centers are participating nationwide.

The TA Restaurant Group, a division of TravelCenters of America LLC (which includes the Petro Stopping Centers chain as well), is once again inviting all active duty military, veterans and reservists with proof of service to enjoy a complimentary meal on July 4 at one of 170 participating Country Pride or Iron Skillet sit-down restaurants across the U.S.

Kansas City the safest to drive in
New report also noted that July and August are the deadliest months on U.S. roadways, with each averaging 116 deaths per day.

While the 13th annual Allstate America's Best Drivers Report is ostensibly focused on the “four-wheeler” side of the U.S. motoring public, there’s key information within it for truckers as well.

Special truck auction nets TAT $89,000
Funds will further its fight against human trafficking, group says.

The “Everyday Heroes” Kenworth T680 was auctioned off at Ritchie Bros. in Phoenix. The winning bid was submitted by Mike Jimenez, owner of Phoenix-based J&L Transportation, which resulted in $89,000 netted in support of Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), a non-profit organization devoted to stopping human trafficking by educating, mobilizing, and empowering the nation’s truck drivers and rest stop employees.
