This book was compiled over many years from personal experiences and
shared tales overheard on the highways of America. Like a painting, the
heart of their message lies not in the individual brush strokes but in the
way they are arranged for viewing from afar.
They were specifically designed for truckers, who don’t always have time
enough time for a lengthy tale, at the lunch counter, waiting at the dock
or waiting for a call back from dispatch. They are not stories about
trucks really but about people, the main ingredient in our vital industry.
If you see yourself in one of the stories that is coincidental of course,
but if you don’t see yourself in any of the tales that would
be coincidental too. Read them, reflect on them on long night runs, and
pass them along to friends and loved ones that they may better understand
why we do what we do.
